Travis Henry Has Nine Children… With Nine Different Women August 27, 2007

The Atlanta Constitutional Journal is reporting that Denver Broncos running back Travis Henry was facing possible jail time because he couldn’t come up with $9,800 for child support. Henry, who has nine children with nine different women, had to borrow the money from his former team, the Tennessee Titans to pay the child support. He is currently paying child support for seven out of the nine children.
This week, Henry was ordered to pay $3,000 for a boy he fathered out of wedlock three years ago. He was also ordered to establish a $250,000 trust fund before next spring.

Clearly, he’s trying to have 11 kids, so he’ll have a complete defense to practice against in the offseason.
Yeah, I say by the end of the summer he’ll have a full roster ready to go.
good lord – this is absurd! i wonder how many of them are actually living well. im curious because i was reading an article on 3 new orleans natives that are having a hard time getting up and going after the terrible storm. between the 3 they have 13 kids – ridiculous.

what a dude?!! there is something called control, but why just punish this man, it takes two to tango, what about all the women who had his kids, yes famous athlete lets bring his baby and he’ll pay for it, so no need to work or do anything.
not saying that its not his fault as well, play it SAFE man.
We joke but the reality of it is its that type of carelessness that starts a downward spiral in the life of some child. Lets face it Henry will not be playing pro football for the rest of is life what happens then ? I wish atheletes would be more responsible and realize they are dealing with a life not a commodity. They think because they shower the kid and mother with money they are a good dad, nothing could be further from the truth. Of course he cant share all the blame with all the money grabbing groupies in pro sports that will have a baby in a minute just to get a check for the rest of their lives. It truly is sad.
I read somewhere today that after buying his new car and some jewelry he had to borrow money from a teammate to make his child support payment.. Ill try and find the article and link it in another response

Well:
Two thoughts.
1.) Totally irresponsible, and just more surplus kids to be raised without a decent role model as father, let alone be given the opps to get a good education, attend college, etc. …OR…
2.) Hey, let’s start a baseball team called the ‘NINE HENRIES’? I like baseball, and with the next coupla HENRIES, we have a middle reliever and closer for the team? Not MLB calibre, but, hey, didn’t someone say that athletes aren’t role models? That is durned for sure. But I like baseball and would pay to watch the NINE HENRIES!
