Whenever I watch this play, there are some things that always come to mind:

  1. I don’t know how Canseco missed that ball.

  2. The baseball hitting him on the head didn’t seem to phase him at all.

  3. Try to refrain from using the classic line, “If his head wasn’t so big from the steroids, that never would have happened.”

  4. But man, Jose Canseco really does have a big head.

I never noticed that before. It does explain why the ball had such an easy time hitting him though.

Yeah, Jose Canseco’s head is about 2x larger than the normal human being

I always liked Canseco’s reaction after the homerun he had to laugh himself.

That’s about all you can do after a play like that.

He was the first 40-40 baseball player, and very entertaining when the Bash Brothers ruled the plate in MLB! Jose and Big Mac were awesome. But I miss Rickey Henderson most of all. Wish the A’s would bring him back as some asst. coach. He would draw fans and help us learn how to steal bases (again!).

But, Jose was a real bonehead. Maybe the most natural talent ever, but he blew it by stupid actions and immaturity. Too bad as he is a pretty good guy.
