When Athletes Get Angry: Miami Hurricanes September 8, 2007Posted by Marquis Chapman in College Football, Football, Sports, Video, When Athletes Get Angry.
Although I’m a die hard Miami Hurricanes fan, I’m not completely oblivious to the fact that the Hurricanes have had their fair share of character issues in the past. The constant trouble players get into off the field has caused fans to change the name of the Hurricanes from the “U” to “Thug U”. It seems like everytime you think the Hurricanes have finally changed for the better, they turn around and do something crazy. Take this incident for example. The Hurricanes decide to have a brawl against FIU, stomping, striking with helmets, and even body slamming FIU players.
Only at the U.
When Athletes Get Angry: Jim Everett Attacks Jim Rome August 24, 2007Posted by Marquis Chapman in Football, NFL, Sports, Video, When Athletes Get Angry.
Jim Rome is notorious for talking trash about athletes and things were no different when former Los Angeles Rams Quarterback Jim Everett appeared on his show in 1994. Everett was a decent QB, but developed a reputation for shying away from hits after he fell to the ground before being sacked in a NFC championship game against the San Francisco 49ers. Shortly after, Rome began refering to Everett as “Chris Everett”, who was a female tennis player.
When Everett appears on the show, Rome refers to him as “Chris” to his face, and Everett warns him not to do it again. Rome being Rome, decides to call him “Chris” one more time, and Everett just loses it.

In this edition of When Athletes Get Angry, Miami Hurricane Tight End Kellen Winslow goes off on reporters after they ask him about the illegal blocking in a game against Tennessee. One thing you should know about Kellen before watching this video is… HE ‘S A SOLDIER!
